Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC) is seeking industry feedback for the P617 Transit Protection Program Facility at Naval Submarine Base Kings Bay, Kings Bay, GA. The purpose of the Industry Day is to generate interest and explain this complex project (secure areas, construction supply chain challenges, skilled labor availability, etc.). This will be an excellent opportunity for contractors with NAICS code 237990 and similar construction experience to learn more about this upcoming project and the acquisition strategy.
All participants must email Deborah Torrence at [email protected] a request to attend and the required participant information, your name, company name, phone number and email address no later than 2:00 PM Eastern on Friday, February 20, 2026.
**PLEASE NOTE THE INDUSTRY DAY LOCATION IS IN JACKSONVILLE, FL NOT IN KINGS BAY GA**
Project Description:
Construct waterfront and shore infrastructure for the Transit Protection Program at Naval Submarine Base Kings Bay, Kings Bay, GA. Project includes a general purpose berthing pier, trestle with controlled access, floating small craft berthing piers, pier side utility services, wave attenuators, temporary small craft berthing with temporary utility services, operational storage facility with trailered boat parking, compressed air system, guard shack, MOGAS and DFM distribution systems, and a MOGAS storage system, all in support of the Transit Protection Program and SUBASE missions. All facilities and infrastructure that will be of permanent construction must be built for a 50-year service life. The estimated project range of construction is between $250,000,000 and $500,000,000.
The event is open to all contractors and is not restricted to those currently under contract with NAVFAC.
This announcement is not a contract, request for proposal, promise to contract, or commitment of any kind on the part of the Government.
