News from the San Juan Field Chapter

The San Juan Chapter held a Golf Tournament and an Ice-Breaker (2 December 2025) before the Caribbean District USACE Industry Day (3 and 4 December 2025).  The Golf Tournament had 60 people enrolled and was held at the Ft. Buchanan Golf Course.  There were corporate sponsors as well as individual sponsors.  The tournament was a social and financial success, with an estimated profit of $4k, which will go to send young people to the SAME STEM Camp in the summer of 2025.  The Commander of the Caribbean District USACE and the USCG Facility Engineer attended the award ceremony at the end of the tournament.  That evening, the San Juan Chapter hosted an icebreaker in preparation for the travelers and local businesses attending the USACE Caribbean District Industry.  The Ice Breaker was held at AFDA (Asociación Fraternal de Amigos), a private club in the Condado District of San Juan.  More than 50 people attended the activity, and many people came forward to volunteer to make the San Juan Chapter grow.  Special thanks to Brian Bulukonis and Jorge Fuentes for their attention and support towards the Golf Tournament and the Ice Breaker.
