Meeting Recap from Last Month

Thank you to CAPT Miguel Dieguez, Commanding Officer of NAVFAC SE, who gave a great presentation on the challenges and logistics involved with the Red Hill Crisis Response.

The Red Hill water crisis is a public health crisis and environmental disaster caused by fuel leaking from the Red Hill Underground Fuel Storage Facility into the freshwater aquifer underneath the island of Oʻahu. Residents in military housing in and around Joint Base Pearl Harbor–Hickam began reporting chemical contamination in their tap water near the end of November 2021, and the Hawaiʻi Department of Health advised residents to stop using their tap water on November 29, 2021. Military housing residents were unable to use their tap water until the following March, after their water system was flushed of contaminants. What’s your favorite Jacksonville Post memory?

There are too many to just have one favorite.  I am simply very blessed to have made many “friendships for life” while serving the Jacksonville Post and to have had all the great experiences/memories made at National, Regional and Local events that built those friendships!

What do you like to do in your free time?

Spend time with my nearly 3-year-old Grandson, Cameron.

Fun facts:
Soloed the USAF T-38 Talon 5 times in the USAF (Had to leave pilot training due to my father passing).

I have over 3,000 sport skydives. One of the highlights was participating in the 2005 “Jump for The Cause” event practicing for a full week jumping several times a day (using 8 aircraft flying in a V formation) and finally setting a world record on the last day in of 151 women in a skydiving formation (all holding our grips on each other) for over 3 seconds and as a result earning $5M in funds for breast cancer research and treatment.

Back in the 80’s my sister, Cindy Anderson, USA, Lt Col, (Ret), flew a Blackhawk that I jumped out of at the Fort Campbell Military Jump Club.

I am a Florida licensed private investigator

What are your favorite quotes?

“Grace comes again every morning.”
“I didn’t get everything done in one day either. God”
“A quiet hour is worth more than anything you can do in it.”
