This Month's Meeting Abstract
In 2022, a fuel spill at the Red Hill Defense Fuel Supply Point resulted in contamination reaching one of the Navy’s nearby drinking water wells impacting over 10,000 military families and 100 military and civilian organizational consumers. In coordination with all U.S. military services and in close partnership with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and Hawaii Department of Health, an interagency team was formed to develop the roadmap for restoring safe drinking water and recovering the Red Hill well. The Navy’s response was unprecedented in scope, complexity, and cost. Providing support to affected residents while working to meet regulatory mandates for restoring the drinking water system required extensive logistical and technical support from industry and academia and an implausible amount of coordination, speed, and communication.
Pre-Luncheon Dinner

My volunteer roles for the Jacksonville Post are working the Registration Desk at the Monthly Luncheons and Industry Day

I graduated from the University of Miami with a Bachelor of Science Degree

My double major was in Communications and Marketing.

What’s your favorite Jacksonville Post memory?
My favorite Jacksonville Post memory was having the honor of being recognized at the 2022 SAME Jacksonville Post Industry Day where I was presented with a SAME President’s coin from Cindy Lincicome for exceptional service on the Post’s Programs Committee.
What do you like to do in your free time?
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my friends and family and challenging myself outdoors (swimming, bike riding, kayaking and target practice) and on occasion when I have time, snuggle up with a good book.
