SAME Jax Member Spotlight: Summer Roseborough
What company do you work for and what is your job title?
I work for RS&H, Inc. as a Senior Project Assistant for Federal Markets.
What are your volunteer roles for the Jacksonville Post?
In the past, I volunteered with the Young Members committee. I have been a part of the Programs Committee for the past 3-and-a-half years and I am currently serving as co-vice chair of the Programs Committee for this upcoming year.
Where did you attend college? What did you study?
I attended the University of Florida for a year and graduated from the University of North Florida in 2000 with a degree in Elementary Education. I went back to school in 2010 and graduated from UNF with a Master of Business Administration degree in 2013.
How long have you been a member of the Jacksonville Post?
I have been a member of the Jacksonville Post for about 4 years.
What’s your favorite Jacksonville Post memory?
My favorite memory is the Industry Day events from last year. Relationships that I have built with others are my favorite thing about SAME, and it was so great to see so many amazing people that I have had the honor of meeting and getting to know over the past 4 years with SAME. I also really enjoyed the field trip with the Young Members group to the St Johns Water Reclamation Facility in 2018ish. I hope to participate in more field trip activities in the future.
What do you like to do in your free time?
Free time? J I have 3 tween/teenage boys, so most of my time is spent doing the typical ‘mom-of-three-boys’ things like homework, sports practices, etc. I really enjoy watching them play sports and we enjoy going to the beach as a family. If I imagine a day of free time, I would enjoy reading, taking the dog on a hike, and ending the day hanging out with friends.
